LANSING, Mich. — Folks were bowling for a good cause Sunday afternoon at the City Limits Bowling Center.

The money people paid to play went to the organization Hanna's House.

Hanna's House is a Christian maternity shelter for homeless pregnant women.

Women get to stay rent-free for up to 6 months after their baby is born.

This gives them the opportunity to find employment.

"They live in the home free of rent and free of having to pay for any type of groceries. That gives them the opportunity to save money and pay off bills. Once they're in the community on their own, they can sustain themselves." Said Hannah's House Executive Director Deanna Arnett.

Hanna's House does not receive any government support and depends on private donations, grants, and fundraisers.
