Bowdies Chophouse which was established in 2014 in Saugatuck has recently opened a new Lansing location in the East Michigan Avenue building where former Knight Cap was located.

On Thursday afternoon a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the recent restaurant opening with Bowdies General Manager and Owner Tyler Bowdish, Lansing's Mayor Virgil Bernero, head chef Jason Campbell and many others.

"We're very excited to have you here. Obviously, food is your business and your success is our business," Mayor Bernero said.

"We came here, like I said, to give fabulous food, fabulous service, great ambiance and everything that you want out of a steakhouse in this town," Bowdish said. "We're so thankful to be a part of this."

Bowdies will be open seven days a week for dinner only.

The menu features a variety of different steak, beer, wine, and dessert.
