On Friday morning, Eaton County deputies responded to a threat at an area high school.

At 9:36 a.m. an alleged bomb threat was called in at Waverly High School in Lansing.

The sheriff's office is reporting that "resources were put into place and the immediate area of concern was evacuated."

They brought in a K-9 unit and swept the building.

They told News 10 that all areas within the school were cleared.

Witnesses did report to News 10 that the school was under lockdown for a brief period of time.

The incident is still being investigated.
