The City of Potterville is alerting residents of a Boil Water Advisory.
Late on Wednesday night, the city had a "complete loss of pressure" in a portion of their distribution system.
During that time, the water system may have been contaminated so the city is advising that residents boil the water prior to drinking or cooking with it until further notice.
At this time the water tower is going through a periodic inspection which caused a main break causing the loss of water pressure.
The main break has been isolated and fixed according to the City Of Potterville's Facebook page. However, the city will be conducting tests to ensure the water is safe to drink without the boiling advisory.
Until then, boil water before using.
