Body pulled from Grand River in Onondaga

ONONDAGA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Ingham County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found in the Grand River in Onondaga Tuesday night.

Deputies responded to Baldwin Park around 7:30 p.m. for the report of a body in the river.

Kayakers located the body south of the park and called 911, according to a press release.

The Captial Area Dive Team responded and recovered a body.

The death is being investigated as suspicious at this time.

The identity of the body could not immediately be determined by police.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine a cause of death and to help with identifying the body.
