Good news if you're traveling this Labor Day weekend. MDOT is suspending construction projects and removing lane restrictions in 2/3rds of work zones.
The construction zones shut down at 3:00 p.m Friday afternoon, and will remain closed until 6:00 a.m.Tuesday.
Also, if you're walking the Mackinac Bridge on Monday, there are some changes in place this year. Buses will not be shuttling people across the bridge. Instead ferries will take people across on scheduled trips.
The walk starts at 7:00 a.m.
