The Eaton County Sheriff's Office reports that a man has died after a boat he was in capsized near the Smithville Dam.
Gene Robinson, a 69-year-old man from Olivet fell in the river, along with three other people in the boat after their boat got caught in the dam and capsized.
The other people in the boat were able to reach the shore.

At around 3:35 p.m. police got a call about a capsized boat near Smithville Dam.
There were 4 occupants, and 3 were able to reach the shore.
The fourth person was taken to Sparrow Hospital, his condition is unknown.
The accident is under investigation.
