Blondie's in Okemos hosted more than 600 guests for Thanksgiving lunch today.

It's the local business' 3rd year to offer the free home-cooked meal to anyone who wanted it. Blondie says she's happy to do it because she can give back to a community that's supported her throughout the years.

"I think that I have more fun than anybody. It's just, it's really fun and kind of turns into a party in here and I'm surrounded by my family and friends and we just sit with people, chat with people, and eat too much pie."

The lunch lasted until two. And then Blondie, her family, and other volunteers boxed up extra food to hand out to the homeless on the city's south side.
