Black ice causing multiple crashes across Mid-Michigan

Black ice is causing problems for drivers across Mid-Michigan Tuesday morning.

There are multiple crashes because of the slippery roads. Temperatures hovering around 39 degrees after the rain Monday caused the icy conditions.

A FOX 47 News photographer spotted cars in ditches along eastbound Interstate 96 near the Martin Luther King Junior entrance ramp.

Authorities confirmed there were multiple reports of slide offs there. Eaton County Dispatch also warning about black ice and reporting several accidents within the county.

Salt trucks are now on the roads but drivers are advised to slow down. The roads are slippery. The roads might look wet but they could be covered with icy patches.
