Gretchen Whitmer hasn't given much of a hint on who her running mate might be, however, there are few names floating around.
Rumor has it that she's considering Garlin Gilchrist the Second, State Representative Sheldon Neely, and State Senator Vincent Gregory.
Wednesday night Whitmer's November opponent, Bill Schuette dropped a big hint on who his running mate might be during a GOP Unity Rally in Grand Rapids. Well, maybe not who...but if he's considering a woman or a man.
Schuette: "I can't tell you what her name is right now."
Reporters: "It's a her?" "Is it a woman?"
Schuette: "I can't tell you her name right now."
According to party insiders, Macomb County Public Works Commissioner, Candice Miller and State House Appropriations Chairwoman Representative Laura Cox are said to be the front runners as Schuette's potential running mates.
