EAST LANSING, Mich. — BIGGBY® COFFEE is excited to announce the success of their 2019 food bank initiative that ran February 18-24. As BIGGBY® COFFEE makes a concerted effort to brew change within their communities, they are grateful to have raised enough money to provide over 60,000 meals to those in need across the nation.

The food bank initiative, which took place in BIGGBY® COFFEEs throughout the nation, encouraged customers to donate as little or as much as they could to the initiative. Those that donated $1 or more received a $1 off coupon for every $1 donated. Just $1 provided multiple meals to those in need. BIGGBY® COFFEE is extremely grateful that our coffee shops were able to raise over $19,000 throughout the 7-day initiative.

With that, BIGGBY® COFFEE was able to partner with 19 food bank entities, 15 of which disperse to multiple food bank pantries throughout the nation. BIGGBY® COFFEE made a concerted effort to work with food banks close to each individual coffee shop. Working closely with these local food banks kept each dollar donated in the community it was donated, which allowed customers to know that they were making a difference in their own community.

This year, BIGGBY® COFFEE was excited to partner with This Bar Saves Lives, an organization co-founded by actors Kristen Bell, Ryan Devlin, Todd Grinnell, and Ravi Patel. This Bar Saves Lives provides life-saving nutrition to children in Haiti and parts of South Africa through the sales of delicious snack bars. When customers donated $5 or more, they received a free This Bar Saves Lives snack bar. Through this partnership, BIGGBY® COFFEE and This Bar Saves Lives were able to save dozens of children in Haiti and South Africa.

BIGGBY® COFFEE is excited to have made a difference globally through this week-long initiative and thanks each and every person that took the time to help them brew change in all their communities.
