Big Ten basketball tournament kicks off Wed. in NYC

The Big Ten Conference tournament is held annually at the end of the men's college basketball regular season.

The tournament has been played each year since 1998.

This year, it will be played in New York City at Madison Square Garden.

The Big Ten Tournament begins with the bottom four teams in action with Illinois and Iowa starting things off at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.

That game will be followed by Rutgers and Minnesota.

Both games will air on the Big Ten Network.

Michigan is scheduled to play at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday in the second round.

And Michigan State plays Friday at noon.
