BEWARE: Police issue warning of stalking in DeWitt

Posted

Police in DeWitt are urging parents to keep an eye on their kids walking to the bus stop Friday morning after two reports of stalking over the past week.

Chief Brian Russel says a young man was followed by a white Chevy Trailblazer in the Springbrook Hills neighborhood last Sunday.

And on Thursday morning, a jogger in the same neighborhood says they were followed by a white SUV, but they were not able to get a license plate number.

Neither the young man nor the jogger were hurt.

DeWitt police have opened a stalking case and say residents should call 9-1-1 immediately if they see a suspicious person driving a white SUV.
