A former state senator, who admitted to stealing from taxpayers, will spend 90 days in jail. Bert Johnson was sentenced today in a Detroit federal courtroom.
The Highland Park democrat added a ghost employee to his payroll to pay her back for personal loans. Johnson was also sentenced to home confinement, community service, and must pay more than 23 thousand dollars in restitution to the state.
