Mayor Virg Bernero will be joined by city officials and community stakeholders Thursday to announce a proposed medical marijuana ordinance to improve the safety of home growing operations.
The proposed ordinance hopes to reduce fire hazards caused by overloaded electrical circuits at residential properties.
The ordinance would also provide the city with more tools to address the quality-of-life issues related to home growing operations that create disturbances to the neighborhood.
