LANSING, Mich. — A generous donation from a local business and members of the community will help people in DeWitt.
The Family Dollar collected batteries from community members to be used for smoke detectors.
Then they donated them to the DeWitt Township Fire Department.
The fire department says a donation like that goes a long way to help with fire prevention.
