An autopsy on the body pulled from the Grand River in Lansing is expected to be completed Thursday.

Lansing Police say a woman discovered the body in the river at Fulton Park, just west of Waverly Road and north of Jolly Road around 4 p.m. on Wednesday. The passerby told dispatch there was a body halfway out of the river with a bag over its head.

Police are not releasing the name, age, or gender of that individual at this time. They also have not indicated how long the body was in the river.

They do not believe foul play was involved.
