Authorities are warning of a fish letter that's making the rounds, claiming to be a Jackson County Social Security Petition.
The letter asks people to donate to a campaign that would urge Congress to make it illegal to spend money from the Social Security Trust Fund.
But the Jackson County Sheriff's Office says the letter was not circulated by the county, and appears to be a scam.
They're urging people not to donate, but contact police or the Better Business Bureau for more information.
