JACKSON COUNTY, Mich. — Columbia Township officials told Fox 47 that about 4,000 gallons of raw sewage has spilled into Clark Lake in Jackson County.
The spillage happened in the Q Lane area at the site of new construction near the lake.
Another township official told us that a contractor drilled into a sewage line causing the spill.
Columbia Township has advised everyone to stay out of the water until more information is known.
Authorities are on the scene assessing the situation.
