Attorney of Nassar victims' to speak at local law school

An attorney who represents many victims of Larry Nassar will be presenting to a class at WMU-Cooley Law School Tuesday afternoon.

Attorney H. James White, of White Law PLLC, will speak to students at WMU-Cooley Law School's Lansing campus on Tuesday, March 27 at 3 p.m.

The White Law firm is representing several sexual assault victims of former team doctor for USA Gymnastics and osteopathic physician at Michigan State University, Larry Nassar.

He will present in a Torts class at the law school that is taught by Professor Mark Dotson.

He'll go over current and proposed legislation in Michigan, regarding sexual assault liability laws and how those laws affect Nassar's victims. Also, he'll share with students why the institutions that Nassar was employed by may be held responsible for his actions, and issues that may propose roadblocks for similar litigation, such as government immunity. And he will manage a Q & A session.

This class is not open to the public.
