UPDATE: Jackson man came into store swinging a bat

JACKSON, Mich. — 24-year-old Adam Vaneck was arraigned on Monday on charges related to a violent encounter at gas station and convenience store in Jackson.

An attempted robbery took place at a Jackson gas station over the weekend.

You can see the suspect armed with a baseball bat while inside the P.S. Mart on Cooper Street.

It happened just before seven o'clock Saturday night.

No one was hurt.

Police took the 24-year-old man into custody without incident.

His name won't be released until he's arraigned
