JACKSON, Mich. — Downtown Jackson will be getting a new development soon.
A ground breaking was held Monday afternoon for the future of Albert Kahn apartments, which are low-to-moderate income housing.
The developer plans to repurpose the former Jackson citizen news paper building as well as a few other buildings on South Jackson street between Washington Avenue and Cortland Street.
The goal is to open the apartments in late 2020.
