The biggest educational fundraiser of the year in Mid-Michigan took place Thursday night at the Lansing Center.
Earvin "Magic" Johnson and his wife Cookie, were once again a part of the festivities of the Lansing Promise Scholarship dinner.
The Lansing Promise helps Lansing students attend college for free.
The program has now helped 100 college graduates.
The Lansing Everett H.S., Michigan State, and L.A. Laker basketball legend hosted the event -- and talked about the importance of education.
Last year, the event raised more than a million dollars for Lansing students.
