The wife of former Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero is running for a seat on the MSU Board of Trustees.
Teri Lyn Bernero kicking off her bid over the weekend at the Michigan Democratic Party Endorsement Convention in Detroit.
The two seats up for grabs this year are held by republicans Mitch Lyons and Brian Breslin.
Both have said they are not running for re-election.
