The American Red Cross says one car accident victim can need as many as 100 units of blood.
And since May is Trauma Awareness Month, the Red Cross is urging people of all blood types to donate, especially those with O Negative blood and AB Plasma, because those can be transfused to any patient regardless of blood type.
