A new policy is coming to one big airlines that could keep you from getting sick.
In just a few weeks, American Airlines passengers with nut allergies will be able to board flights early in order to wipe down their seating areas and avoid possible exposure to allergens.
The carrier announced the new policy in a filing with the U.S. Transportation Department in response to a complaint by Food Allergy Research and Education.
American now joins Delta Airlines in offering early boarding for passengers with nut allergies.
The new policy goes into effect on December 12th with the updating of flight-service manuals.
