LANSING, Mich. — Although it's been feeling swampy outside lately, that doesn't mean we should keep finding alligators in Michigan.
The latest alligator was caught in Milford Thursday night when he was found roaming around a neighborhood.
The gator was a pet who had gotten free and he's back with his owner.
The owner told a local newspaper he's had Puff, the alligator, for 20 years and never had a problem with him.
This is the fifth alligator incident in the last few weeks. It started with Wally, a pet gator who unfortunately died after he got hit by a car in Delta Township last month.
The a family found one in their back yard in Jackson in late June. He was taken to a sanctuary.
Last week, two young alligators were found in Macomb County.
Another pet alligator escaped in Owosso and that owner was ticketed because gators aren't legal in the city limits.
