The R.E. Olds Car Capitol Celebration is this Saturday and because of all the classic cars that will line the streets, certain streets are being closed to traffic.
Starting at 5:30 am Saturday, Allegan Street between Capitol Avenue and Grand Avenue will be closed.
Capitol Avenue between Ottawa Street and Allegan Street will also close as well as Michigan Avenue between Grand Avenue and Capitol Avenue.
Lane restrictions will also be in effect along Capitol Avenue between Ionia Street and Ottawa Street as well as between Allegan Street and Washtenaw Street.
Allegan between Walnut Street and Capitol Avenue will have restrictions as well and so will Ottawa between Washington Square and Walnut.
Local access to businesses will be maintained and all of these roads will be opened back up around 5:00 pm.
