All Charlotte schools will be closed Wednesday because of a water main break at the high school.
Superintendent Mark Rosekrans tells us the district had to close all schools because of a state law setting mandatory attendance limits for a day of school to be counted.
The high school accounts for more than a third of the district's enrollment. Closing it would create enough absences to pull the district below the state limit so administrators decided to cancel classes in all schools.
