The e-commerce giant just released its Alexa Auto software on Github, making the tools more accessible to developers.
By integrating Alexa into vehicle infotainment systems, drivers can ask for directions, check weather reports, notifications and more.. just like at home.
Alexa Auto can also help with navigation, calling and local search, and all you have to do is ask.
Some automakers working with Amazon include Ford, BMW, Toyota and Lexus.
Consumers will likely see more cars with Alexa in 2019 and beyond.
