Agave Dream has recalled the following flavors of pint sized ice cream due to a potential contamination of Listeria monogcytogenes.
- Vanilla
- Chocolate
- Cappuccino
- Chocolate Chip
- Lavendar
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
Symptoms consist of:
- High fever
- Severe headache
- Stiffness
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths.
