An accident on I-96 last night briefly closed down both westbound lanes in Lansing.
It happened just before the split merge construction project around 11 p.m. Our crew on scene saw a car that came to rest in the median.
Police closed down Westbound I-96 for about a half hour before reopening both lanes.
There is no word on any injuries right now, or if the highway's split merge caused the accident.
