Absentee voting took place on Sunday for those in the city of Lansing who may have other obligations during the work week.
All week long this week absentee voting is available at 2500 S. Washington Ave. in Lansing.
It will also be available Saturday, November 5 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Extended hours for absentee voting is all about accommodating different schedules this election.
"We do have next Saturday, but we figured if we could do one Sunday we'd get people that come to vote after church. Maybe some people that aren't that mobile and only get out once or twice a week. Make it so they can get out on a day that's convenient to them," said Chris Swope, Lansing City Clerk.
In addition to office hours, a secure dropbox will be available 24 hours a day at that location to drop off ballots and ballot applications.
