EAST LANSING, Mich. — "There's a new sheriff in town..." okay not really, but there is a new K-9 officer at MSU.
His name is Jarvis and he is a male German Shepherd who is almost 2 years old.
MSU Police are saying that Jarvis is trained in obedience, tracking, explosive detection, evidence search, area search, building search and handler protection.
His handler is Sgt. Shaun Porter.
Porter says the dogs favorite toy is a ball on a rope.
