With the official change in seasons comes more opportunities for festivities here in West Michigan.
Up first, you are able to enjoy our state's natural wonders through a self-guided fall color tour. The annual 'Depot to Depot Fall Color Tour' traverses between the Muskegon's South Pierhead Light and the White River Light Station. You can check in on social media at different stops for a chance to win prizes. The event is extended over the first four Saturdays in October.
Next, you can visit Pierce Cedar Creek Institute in Hastings for a chance to dive into the Fall Storybook Trail. The institute is hosting its events online this October to help parents and kids learn about Autumn.
Third, Sparta is providing another reason to get outside with a Food Trucks & Music Night on Friday, October 2nd. Food trucks are available from 4 to 7:30 p.m. with live music starting at 6 p.m.
Finally, Grand Rapids Public Museum is showcasing a new exhibit dealing with the subject of climate change. The 'Under the Arctic' exhibit is an opportunity to explore real Ice Age fossils and much more. Admission is included with the purchase of a museum ticket, and the exhibit will be open through Spring of 2021.
