93 year old victim of home invasion dies from injuries

LANSING, Mich. — A 93 year old man has died from injuries after being assaulted on December 30 Lansing Police report.

On 12/30/20 @ 8:42 p.m. Lansing Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of N. High St. on an unknown trouble call.

Upon arrival officers locate two male subjects (23 year old victim and a 60 year old victim), both with severe injuries to the body. Both were transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

On scene investigation discovered both victims were assaulted by one male individual (33 year old male suspect). The suspect left the residence prior to police arrival. The suspects information and description was broadcasted to assisting officers.

Within a short time period the suspect was located in the area of W. Saginaw St and Comfort St. The suspect was arrested without incident and transported to the Lansing Police Detention facility.

On 12/31/20 the suspect was arraigned in 54-A District court in front of Judge Simmons on the following charges:

The 60 year old victim remains in serious/stable condition according to Lansing Police.

Micah Ezekiel Davis, a 33 year old from Lansing, Michigan is charged in this home invasion with the following charges:

Count 1: Home Invasion – 1st degree

Count 2: Assault with intent to do great bodily harm less murder

Count 3: Assault with intent to do great bodily harm less murder

Count 4: Assault with dangerous weapon

Count 5: Assault with dangerous weapon

BOND: $20,000 Cash/Surety

Davis is next scheduled in 54-A District court in front of Judge Simmons on:

Probable Cause Conference: 01-08-21 at 9:00 a.m.

Preliminary Exam: 1-15-21 at 8:30 a.m.
