On Demember 7, 1941, Japanese forces attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii at exactly 10:55 a.m., killing 2,402 Americans, and injuring over 1,000 more.
The United States declared war on Japan the next day.
There will be ceremonies across the country today, including here in mid-Michigan.
The Delta Retirement Center will hold a presentation this morning, wreaths will be presented for all veterans on hand.
A woman who served in World War II lives at the center.
