5th Annual Doggie Easter Egg Hunt & Kids’ Eggstravaganza

LANSING, Mich. — Saturday, April 20th, Ingham County Animal Shelter Fund’s 5th Annual Doggie Easter Egg Hunt and Kid’s Eggstravaganza will take place at Hawk Island Park, 1601 E Cavanaugh in Lansing. This family event will feature fun activities including crafts, photos with the Easter Bunny and Chippy (Ingham County Animal Control’s mascot), and games, family and pet friendly vendors, agility equipment, and – of course - Easter egg hunts for dogs and kids. All the dog eggs are filled with grain free treats to accommodate dogs with food sensitivities, and kid eggs are peanut free.

Pre-registration is open at icasfund.org through 5:00 PM on April 19th , and participants who pre-register will receive a free gift. Same day registration opens at 1:30 for kids and 2:00 for dogs. The Kids’ Egg Hunt will take place at 2:30; the Doggie Egg Hunt is at 3:00.

Registration fees are $8 per child (free for kids under 2 years old), $8 for your first dog and $5 for each additional dog or child while registering in advance. Day of registrants will have a $2 increase. Donations will be requested for photos. Kona Ica and Smoke N’ Pig food trucks will be available before, during, and after the event. This event is generously sponsored by Soldan’s Pet Supplies, Meijer, Target, Monarch Investment, along with other local retailers providing gift baskets for special egg winners.

All donations go to support Ingham County Animal Shelter Fund, a 501c3 nonprofit fundraising organization dedicated to benefiting the animals of Ingham County. All donations are tax deductible. Participants are asked to please stay vigilante and provide supervision when children are interacting with dogs.

Ingham County Animal Control is open Monday-Saturday from 10:30-5pm, and stays open later on Wednesdays until 6pm.
