A 5-car accident tied up traffic Tuesday during the morning commute on U.S. 127 just north of I-96 in Lansing.
Police had to shut down two northbound lanes at around 8:00 a.m.
Ingham County Sheriff's deputies tell us a driver was going too fast when he clipped a semi truck and then hit two other cars, one of which pin-balled into the fifth car.
Nobody was hurt but three of the cars had to be towed away.
The highway was back open by 9:00 a.m.
