Jackson police are investigating the fourth shooting in Jackson this week.
Jackson police tell us a house in the 1100 block of First Street was shot up just before 4:30 a.m. Friday. Nobody was hurt, but officers found shell casings and bullet holes were seen in the window of the home.
Just hours before that, around 9 p.m. Thursday, Jackson police got a report of shots fired in the area of Harwood Street and First Street.
When officers arrived, they didn't find a shooting victim. Instead, they found a vehicle that crashed into a tree. No one was inside. A short time later, a 23-year-old man showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound. Jackson police tell us his injuries are non-life threatening.
Just Thursday morning -- a man with a gunshot wound to his leg drove himself to the hospital after being shot in a drive-by. It happened on Cypress Drive around 1 AM. Police said someone in a gray Jeep fired several shots into the vehicle the 25-year-old victim was sitting in.
On Monday, a 31-year-old man was shot in the leg inside a home in the 900 block of First Street. Police were called to the hospital after the man showed up at the hospital.
Jackson police tells FOX 47 it is not clear if any of these four shootings are connected. No arrests in any of the cases have been made at this time.
