LANSING, Mich. — There are now 3,789 deaths and 41,379 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Michigan, according to new numbers released from the State of Michigan on Thursday.
That's up 119 deaths and 980 cases from Wednesday, where there were 3,670 deaths and 40,399 confirmed cases.
Protestors gathered at the capitol again Thursday — they’re speaking out against Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s extended state of emergency request.
Hundreds of people were outside the Capitol building before 11 a.m. on Thursday.
Some protesters could be seen not wearing masks or social distancing as instructed by the governor's executive order. Protestors not practicing safety precautions could face fines.
