A lawsuit is set to be filed against Governor Rick Snyder and others this morning in the U.S. District Court in Flint.

The lawsuit claims Governor Snyder and the state schemed to solve fiscal problems by selling residents of Flint poisoned water.

The case includes over 400 plaintiffs, represented by 1-800-LAW FIRM PLLC of Southfield who partnered with a New York law firm.

Flint's water became contaminated when the city switched their water source to the Flint River in the spring of 2014.

In addition to Governor Snyder, his chief of staff, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and Rowe Professional Service Company are named in the complaint.
