Lansing police said a second person has now died who was involved in a car crash with a Capital Area Transportation Authority bus on Friday evening.
The crash happened around 7:25 p.m. on Waverly Road near Bridgeport Road.
Police say two men were traveling in a car when it rear-ended the bus. Both men in that car, who were 46 and 49 years old, were from Lansing. One man died on scene and another later died at the hospital, police said.
Another SUV was involved, but that driver only had minor injuries.
The CATA bus had four people on it, including the driver, at the time of the accident. None of them were hurt.
The road was closed for several hours while police investigated. More details were expected to be released on Monday, according to a news release.
