About 200 General Motors workers in Lansing are getting transferred to Flint.

A GM spokeswoman says the Lansing Grand River Plant is adjusting its shift pattern due to market demand.

"Although approximately 200 employees will be impacted by this operational change, the employees will be placed at Flint Assembly to support customer demand for full-size trucks", said spokeswoman Erin Davis in an email to FOX 47.

The change will take place on January 14, 2019.

Davis says all transfers will be in accordance with the provisions of its contract with the UAW.

The Lansing Grand River Plant produces the Chevrolet Camaro and the Cadillac CTS and ATS. General Motors cut the third shift at LGR in early 2017, laying off nearly 800 workers.
