Two people were stabbed early Friday morning when a knife was pulled out during an argument at a party, according to police.

The suspect, Michael Logan, was arraigned on two counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

Jackson police officers responded to a house in the 1400 block of Plymouth Street for a possible stabbing at a party. Deputy Chief Elmer Hitt said one man was stabbed several times in the arm, and a woman was cut on her arm.

The incident happened at approximately 4 a.m., when people were gathered at a house for what Hitt said appeared to be a party. During the party, the subjects started to argue and it then became a physical fight.

A 29-year-old man took out a knife and stabbed the male victim in the arm several times, Hitt said. A woman stepped in between the two in an attempt to break up the fight, and she was cut on the arm.

Before police arrived, the suspect fled, but was apprehended by officers a short time later.

Both victims were taken and treated at Henry Ford Allegiance for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is expected to be arraigned later today with one count of felonious assault per victim.
