2 sisters sue USAG over Nassar scandal

An Olympic bronze medalist and her sister are suing Larry Nassar and USA Gymnastics.

Tasha Schwikert and her sister, Jordan, say Nassar sexually abused them for years.

Tasha Schwikert medaled in the 2000 summer games.

She claims USAG President Steve Penny pressured her into signing off on a statement defending the organization last year.

It was released at the same time other gymnasts were accusing Nassar of abuse and accusing USAG of not looking out for them.

"While coming forward was a difficult decision, I am proud to be here today, alongside my sister, to raise our voices and join other gymnasts in holding the institution accountable and to make sure that not another Larry Nassar can ever happen again," Jordan Schwikert said.

She said in a recent interview that she was abused more than 15 times by Nassar.

The sisters hope telling their stores will lead to positive change within USA Gymnastics.

They are seeking an unspecified amount of damages.
