A mobile home owner in Delhi Township found two devices in her home that appeared to be an I.E.D. Police are pursuing a lead regarding a potential suspect.
At 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday the Ingham County Sheriff's Office responded to Delhi Manor on Holt Rd in Delhi Township. Deputies evacuated several homes in the area as a precaution, and contact the Michigan State Police Bomb Squad.
The bomb squad located two separate devices and rendered them safe, allowing residents to return to their homes. The MSP bomb squad indicated that one of the devices was detonatable, and had unspecified shrapnel contained within it.
No arrests have been made and the Sheriff’s Office is working with federal officials as the investigation continues.
