A young man has been arraigned on a murder charge after body parts of an acquaintance were found in a shallow grave behind his home near Detroit.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Andrew Fiacco also was charged and arraigned Friday with mutilating a body. His 18-year-old ex-girlfriend, Eevette MacDonald, was arraigned on charges of being an accessory after the fact and mutilating a body.
Investigators say Stephen McAfee's remains were found Thursday in the Detroit suburb of Ray Township, after a friend of MacDonald's gave information about the case to police.
McAfee was 19 when last seen in March 2016. Investigators believe McAfee was shot in another location before being buried behind Fiacco's home. Police say they have yet to determine a motive in the slaying.
Other parts of McAfee's body have been found elsewhere in Macomb County.
