A Jackson man is one of two people arrested at a Dearborn police station Monday. The men walked into the station wearing masks, body armor, and carrying guns and cameras.

40-year old Brandon Vreeland of Jackson along with 24-year old James Baker are advocates of open carry laws. The two live-streamed the confrontation with officers inside the Dearborn police station.

They claim they went to the station to file a complaint about a traffic stop. However when the men walked into the station armed with the weapons, officers jumped into action. An officer shouts "Dude, put that on the ground, put it on the ground. I will put a round in you sir!" The men finally complied and put their weapons down. Lieutenant Gary Mann says, "I think there were a lot of situations where officers would have fired these men."

The Open Carry of Michigan Organization says it does not support what the men did, calling their actions reckless. Vreeland says both he and his friend own their guns legally. Both Vreeland and Baker have been charged with misdemeanors including breaching the peace and failure to cooperate. They were released after posting a $1,500 bond.
