EAST LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) - A historic joint reunion of two of the greatest college football teams was held Saturday afternoon at the Spartan Hall of Fame Café in East Lansing.

The both teams gathered to reminisce about the ‘Game of The Century’ on November 19, 1966 when Michigan State and Notre Dame went up against each other.

Both teams were undefeated and neither could go to a bowl game.

"It was huge because you had the number one two teams in the country playing for it all at the end of the season,” said Spartan fan Robert Cantrell. “It was an amazing match-up and an amazing game."

The event included reflections from former players of both teams including Pat Gallinagh with Michigan State University and George Geoddeke with Notre Dame.
